Chester Tadeja has over 20 years experience in voice acting, voice recording, and voice production services. He has done voice over work for major commercial brands including Nintendo, Proctor & Gamble, Nestle Foods and the Campbell Soup Company.

He has also been a professional radio announcer, radio producer and disc jockey in the Los Angeles markets. His professional affiliations include the National Broadcasters Association and the Community Broadcasters Association. His work with live name reading services started more than 20 years ago in Southern California and has now expanded nationwide. He and his team canvas across the country providing professional name reading services for university-wide commencement ceremonies as well as smaller department convocations and celebrations.

Chester has also spent a number of years as a university professor and teacher at the secondary levels before earning his doctorate of education from Pepperdine University. In his free time, he loves to travel and play ping pong recreationally.

Voice Talent has been doing this kind of work for nearly 20 years across the United States working with public and private universities as well as for-profit institutions and secondary organizations.

We also offer recorded services of announcements similar to those found prior to the start of ceremonies as well as announcements post ceremonies.

We pride ourselves in meeting or beating the national error rate of 6% of all names read down to 3% or less but often times at 1% or less of all names read.

We've worked with large-scale public university systems to dynamic smaller institutions that require specialized services. We also work with high schools, district offices, and private and for-profit institutions.

We work directly with commencement coordinators, officers, and sound designers to plan and execute the best possible sound design for the live reading of names.

Our founder is Chester Tadeja who has spent nearly 2 decades perfecting this specialized craft. He founded Voice Talent in 2006 reading names at a local university in southern California. Since then, he has expanded this business to include work at universities and colleges all across the United States.

Chester Tadeja and his team of readers have an extensive history of voice reading, voice acting, voiceover work, commercial reading, acting, and broadcasting backgrounds. Many of his readers are members of the Screen Actors Guild, National Association of Broadcasters, or other similar national and regional professional affiliations.

Q: How much are your services?

A: Each commencement ceremony is unique to the needs and design of each university or department. We work directly with your commencement team to meet your budget and expectations. The amount is on a sliding scale based directly from the total number of projected graduates you expect names to be called. This number is then finalized after the total number of names are actually called. Be sure to ask for the Rate Card that you can use to help determine pricing schemes.

Q: What is included in your fees and services?

A: We will provide one, two or more professional name readers to read the names of graduates live at your university-wide commencement ceremonies. We offer planning services to help you design the best utilization of our readers based on needs and placement. We work with your sound team to help shape and design the best possible sound for your ceremonies as it relates to our name reading services. We can also provide live or recorded announcements to use at your ceremonies. Our fees are inclusive of commercial use of our professional name reader’s voices for commercial or electronic distribution.

Q: What is NOT included in your fees or services?

A: Our name readers may need accommodations and transportation. Although this can be negotiated in the contract for services, this amount is typically paid for by the hosting university. But again, we work with your coordinators or officers to ensure we can meet your budgetary needs.

Q: Do you have examples of your work?

A: We most certainly do! Check out the rest of our website or links here for a few of our samples. Our samples may include work at large university systems, smaller college celebrations, specific departments, etc. If you don’t see something you need, please ask. We have numerous examples and links we can direct you to see our work!

Q: Do you have references we can check?

A: Yes, we do! We know that bringing professional name readers to your event can be a big undertaking. We are happy to provide at least 3 references with direct contact to supervising coordinators, officers, or production managers who have recently worked with us in the past that can speak to our services, professionalism, and anything else you may want to ask about us!

Q: How do you know when to go up on stage?

A: We work directly and explicitly with your commencement team to determine the best time to come to the stage and come off stage. We also work with your team in every aspect of the logistic process of your commencement program. Our team can work directly with your photography team, university marshals, commencement volunteers, vendors, etc to ensure that we are cohesive in both your approach and execution of the work we are scheduled do.

Q: Do you carry insurance?

A: We carry a minimum of $1,000,000 general liability insurance for each of our readers that work with you with an aggregate total of $2,000,000 from a nationwide reputable insurance company. Many of our university coordinators also consider other options including indemnifying or categorizing us as contractors. We can work with your team to meet ANY of your insurance and liability needs.
